Bassement - unused direction

Between me and Phill we came up with the idea of producing some 7" records to accompany the night as promotion. We then thought that it would be cool if we produced a set which worked together to produce and overall image. (See Below).

We used some stickers of the logos that I had been working on to brand and add consistancy to the sleeves. Below you can see that we tested out a few different versions.

























Ultimately we decided not to go with this direction because we felt that the overall look was maybe a bit too experimental and 'out there' for a reggae night based in York which has slightly more conservative tastes. We also felt focusing so heavily on the record sleeve design we were not able to concerntrate on producing a quality poster and flyer and all the primary printed resolutions.
